A demon of the dragon species. They shed their skin every year as they grow larger and are only called "Volcano Snakes" during their larval stage. The heat from their fire sac is too powerful for their small body to handle before they grow up, so until then they carry a volcano-shaped magical portal on their back for the heat to escape through.

The princess forced this one to shed his skin so she could build her heating device. Unbeknownst to Syalis, fire-resistant skins of this size are extreme- ly hard to come by, so she inadvertently extorted a very useful item from him. The result was that Volcano Snake's body temperature decreased by 180 degrees. But all's well that ends well.

Most of his relatives are ordinary dragons.
